Choose a famous or
favourite piece of narrative poetry. Use this to develop a set of illustrative
images that express the sentiment and actions within the poem. You’ll find this
exercise easier if you choose a poem that gives you plenty to work with, for
example Tennyson’s ‘The Lady of Shalott’.
Produce a set of
three images that illustrate:

the
start
·
the
main story
·
the
end.
Type the poem out
and use the images to illustrate it within your blog or learning log. Choose
your font with care. It’s important to choose a font that is visually
appropriate not just anonymous.

I Love Lyme Regis

I love Lyme Regis,
The pink and white cottages,
And the deep blue sea,
The pebbles on sandy beaches where the children play,
Walking along the heritage coast, picking up fossils along the way,
Watching the fishing boat's going out to sea,
Bringing back mackerel and crab for us to eat for tea,
The Cobb, the cliffs, the safe harbour for the little ships,
For these and many more things,
I love Lyme Regis.

I have lived in Lyme Regis for over 6 years now and have only just found this delightful poem about the town which, I feel, sums it up so completely. I take many pictures around the town, sea front, harbour and fossil cliffs and was able to draw on my extensive library to complete this exercise. I have thoroughly enjoyed this exercise and am pleased with the results.
